Miracle Mile: The creation of prescient developer A.W. Ross, the Miracle Mile was designed from its inception in the 1920s as an area suited for travel by automobile. The design was a commercial success and not only did it secure Los Angeles as the city that favors the car, but the architectural features and city planning that gave birth from Ross' realized dream quickly spread across the United States. Since commercial interests poured into the Miracle Mile, the residents tied to them soon followed, making the area one sought after to this day.
